Projects 4HOPE was formed by the Assist Local Foundation as a community support outreach bringing the love of Jesus Christ to those who are Poor, Elderly, Widowed, or Disabled. We are dedicated volunteers who share a common goal to do everything we can to demonstrate that there is “Hope” to those who are hurting and in need.
Projects 4HOPE is a ministry of the Assist Local Foundation, and is part of a family of ministries that provide opportunities for volunteers to serve within their local communities.
The Assist Local concept was born out of more than 30 years of community service work beginning in Santa Ana, CA. Operation Love was founded by Assist Local Foundation’s founder and members of local community churches in southern California in the late 1970s, to serve those in poverty in Santa Ana. During the time that Operation Love served the community, the City of Santa Ana awarded Operation Love and it’s members the LISA (Let’s Improve Santa Ana) community service award for having the most effect on poverty and improving the quality of life for those in need.
